Update

We just received a new health report today from Ethiopia. Here are some details: He is 25 lbs. and just under 3 feet. He is now in good health and no longer suffers from nutritional deficiency!
The staff say that he:
  • Has good appetite and feeds well.
  • Can wash his hands alone
  • Can walk on tiptoe
  • Identifies own gender
  • Has good relationship with caretakers
  • Plays with other children
  • Uses cups and spoons
  • Participates in group play
  • "He is a sociable child and has tendency to obey rules."
  • ...and many other development markers that are right on track!

We are ecstatic to hear that he has adjusted well and seems to be developing in a healthy way!

Dear Jesus,

Be with our son today. Fill him with joy and comfort, allow his heart to love and trust again. Thank you for making him strong and healthy. Please protect him from evil and prepare the way for him to become part of us.

  1. What GREAT NEWS! I am so encouraged by the many stories I hear of how the care center takes such amazing care of our children. I'm so pleased to hear about your great report! Every morsel of news makes the wait a little easier. We can take comfort knowing that while they / we are waiting... that the children are being well cared for.
